What it is is wierd. As you pointed out earlier, today's assortment of nasties ought to have guaranteed that the DJIA would tank at least a hundred points in the first half hour of the session. BTB down, too: that should have sown some panic in the tech sector, given everything else.

But no. Instead we open down--but not down as badly as I'd have expected--make a fast and impressive recovery, come off sharply again, and then make yet another recovery. Which is where we are right now. I have NO IDEA what'll happen by the close.

And the bond market is still really stinky. Why no reaction to this or to anything else? I repeat: wierd.
