The bankers and others trick many small investors into buying, then dump a portion of their share for profit. When some small investors noticed the price has dropped, they jump back buying again which push the price higher again. The bankers and others will sell again to make a profit. The game goes on and on. They do not want to dump all their shares at once because that will drop the price too much, and they will make as much as they want. They want the small guys to hold the bag for them all the time.
