FWIW, the complete absence of insider trading since late July is worth noting. Check it out at Insidertrader.com insidertrader.com Of course, just select ticker of ADI. No trades since end of 7/98. I recall a WSJ article several years ago, re PET Incorporated which was acquired at a nice premium (don't remember acquiring co. sorry). WSJ graphed out insider trading for PET stock, and it had fallen off a cliff some months before the announcement; in hindsight it was clear that insider trading pretty much stopped because talks were in process. My recollection of PET article in WSJ lead me to check insider activity for ADI. Now of course, the apparent lack of insider at ADI since late 7/98 does not mean there is a deal in the works but if there was the same level of activity especially form 4 selling filing, IMHO that would lead me to think no deal was in process. So look for yourself, draw own conclusions. Cheers!
