Perhaps I had a different take on the article than other posters did, but I didn't find the article to be negative at all. Management 'fessed up to a strategical error in judgement, which in itself is a marvel in my opinion. They gained positive "brownie points" in my judgement for that admission.

As far as the technology goes, only time will tell if they can make a profitable go of it or not with the search engine.

I think that as a short term investment, the stock is risky in that it could have extreme volatility either up or down. As a longer term investment, one must have faith in the management team and the technology. It is virtually impossible to predict where this company will be 2, 3 or 5 years from now. Until we all get to see and use the new search engine, all that can be written is speculation.
