Announces Second Quarter Results Business Editors CLEARWATER, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 13, 1998--Medical Technology Systems, Inc. (MSYS) today announced results for the second quarter ended September 30, 1998. Revenue for the second quarter increased 50% to $8.4 million from $5.6 million the prior year. Net loss was $701,000 or $.11 per diluted common share compared to a loss of $392,000 or $.07 per diluted common share the prior year. Revenue for the six months ended September 30, 1998 increased 43% to $15.4 million from $10.8 million the prior year. Net loss before extraordinary gain was $1,137,000 or $.18 per diluted common share compared to a loss of $761,000 or $.13 per diluted common share the prior year. Net loss for the six months ended September 3, 1998 was $475,000 or $.08 per common share compared to $761,000 or $.13 per diluted common share the prior year. Todd Siegel, President and C.E.O., commented, "Revenue is growing at a record pace in all our businesses, and MTS Packaging Systems, Inc. continues to provide strong profits. Our second quarter results were effected by costs and expenses associated with the acquisition and consolidation of a competitive clinical laboratory and the results of our LifeServ Technologies, Inc. business.
