OK, here's the deal: If you have a vehicle that gets poor mileage, you have to pay more. that $$ goes to the Treasury that applies it to the National Debt. The gov then has to borrow less because it has less debt to finance. Because the gov is out of the credit markets competing with the private sector for money [and the gov at the best credit rating-Exxon can't print money], the cost of borrowing goes down, interest rates drop like a rock, that propels the economy into the 22nd century and ALL BECAUSE SOME MORON IN A LINCOLN NAV JUST HAD TO HAVE HIS STUPID TRUCK. I say let him have it, but LET HIM pay the economic cost of the waste...why me..why YOU? And how come you don't give a crap? That's what I want to know.
