Sig,

I ordinarily do not buy DELL stock for my tax deferred accounts. I buy DELL options. So I do not have to sell DELL stock to go to cash.
However, during the October plung to 40.5, I started doing buy writes in those accounts. But then I closed those positions and went long the options.

In my taxable account, I hold a large quantity of DELL stock.
I do not sell this but I can hedge the the stock with leaps at times of uncertainty like the one which we have just passed through. This type of hedge will cushion any temporary fall in the price of the stock.

When you start hearing that DELL is selling at too high a P/E a month before they are reporting from the likes of Bob Brinker, you can be reasonably sure that some group is preparing a spin against DELL.

DELL will be in the 80's by the end of this quarter. You can bank on it. After all, I am using Kumar's 12% growth numbers for Q4.

As to Paula that has got to be the most expensive room service ever in that hotel!

Regards,

Jim Kelley
