Alan,
I do believe our soul was given to us by God and not the other way around. I simply believe that he gave it to us filled and perfect, and we chose to forget it and him, and have to go through the journey of life to remember.
No, I do not believe in Satan. I believe there are those who have fallen asleep, and forgotten that they are walking in the light of the Lord.
Yes, I believe there 'is' sin, though I don't believe 'in' it, if you know what I mean. I believe there is still much in me, and removing it is part of my 'waking up'. More correctly, I believe that a belief in sin is a mistaken belief of lack of light in need of healing.
I believe we all die for our sins, every day, if we choose to believe in them, and not a world of truth and light filled with God. What I don't believe is that by calling upon Jesus name, we can flip a switch and all our sins disappear. Jesus may have absolved us of guilt and forgiven us, but the battle with sin is still ours to fight. In this way, we are all up on a cross of our own making. The sins of our ego have put the christ within us upon a cross. Those who would use their understanding of Christ as justification for divisiveness, fear, or pain, are those that I have issue with. Those that would use the name of Jesus to remain unchanged. All of us must cast aside our egos, be humbled, and be reborn. If the ego survives unchanged, we have learned nothing, and the Jesus without and the Jesus within have died in vain. Jesus = He's us. If we do not forgive ourselves and change, we will not be saved, regardless of what God, Jesus, or anyone else may do.
