Ed, Like you, I use both fundamental and technical analysis. I am a buy and hold investor, and find that TA works better for me this way. Short term, I get too many whipsaws.

Re: Fore, The chart does not look great. But the fundamentals are good.(compare the p/s ratio to other networking stocks) So, for me as a long term investor, I would not sell.

On the other hand, Over the last several months I saw that the chip companies Altera, Xilinx, and Intel were bouncing along in a trading range, and was able to pick them up at the bottom. Now they are breaking out above their ranges.

Look at Cisco. If you had sold at 55 on October 1 based on TA, would you have gotten back in yet? How much of this up move would you have missed?

So I am not saying either of us is right or wrong. We just have different styles. Hey, Whatever works! wj
