Those that are credible will make themselves know and are relatively easy to spot
I actually keyed this in before I saw your most recent post...same idea.
Of course you can make money following the credible, as well as the incredible. Perfectly good stocks sometimes trade down etc, some of the worst have make a few rich.
Speaking of credibility, I've always thought James Grant sounds wise, brilliant etc, and it is amazing some of the really bad calls he has made. It is almost as if the more certain you are of something, the more surprised you can be later...that is certainly in true in my job of weather forecasting...maybe even more true with investments.
Okay enough of that: Trades this week...halved a position in GENE to take some gains, did well on that, remaining shares can sit and cook for a few months before re-evaluation. Took minor losses in ODIS--it cleared $5 but then settled back, think I was in at $5 1/8 and out at 4 7/8 or something like that. Any other trades I made were adjusting long term positions, and not for this thread. Oh, finally I'm two parts cash five parts stocks, heavy on the cash as market looks ripe for a fall. Good luck out there.
