Les...that is a crappy idea compared to mine. My idea eliminates the entire National Debt...ALL OF IT...and all we have to do is give up our wacky cars that get 15 MPG...My idea wins. With my idea you have no debt to pay down and it comes with NO PAIN. Now about privatize Social Security. social Security protects the people who do get the money and the people who would have to support these people if they did not have it. OK, privatize, but the people cannot get their hands on the loot until the actually retire and the investments have to be rational, along the lines of a conservative bank trust department..not all stocks, not all bonds, long-term positions. All your talk about taxes is of NO IMPORTANCE, if the National Debt is eliminated with my plan..and it would. So, Les, thanks for thinking...it's just that the thinking stinks. [you can be blunt with me as well].
