Tom,
Surprised you had to go to PrimeCo store to get hooked up. When I bought my QCP1900 at Office Depot, I used the phone itself to call PrimeCo (*611) and activated an account in less than 8 minutes. My location is southeast Florida (Office Depot in Deerfield Beach). The phone already had a number programmed into it.
