Jock,

My fun meter is pegged on the yahoo boards. Mega stuff to wade through to get a scintilla of good scoop. OT (on a yahoo board, anyway), what say you about the Wave's Q3 report? Q2 revealed a large increase in G&A expenses due to costs of accelerating the diversification effort. Money well spent, as S. Korea plummeted from 80-some odd percent of sales to around 46% (including "all other" counties outside of N. America). And what about a whopping 116% increase in N. American sales? Bloody good show that!

What most intrigues me is the quarter-on-quarter margins. '97 Q3 was at slightly more than 40%; '98 Q3 not far off at 35%. I think this shows management was able to act quickly to control expenses (G&A, R&D and S&M). It might be mid-99 before we see double digit increases in earnings again, but I wouldn't be surprised to see that trend developing in Q4. Asia must have some pent up demand for PCS components and N. America should continue to contribute significant (although probably not triple digit) growth to PWAV revenue.

Powerwave isn't ATT or TXN, but its demonstrated it can turn on a dime. Can Alcatel or Telebras? Medisco, how do you see things?
