Hi--sorry for the delay in response, been out on the West Coast for the past week. What is my prediction this time? You say that like I've foiled you time and time again with my faulty predictions <ggg>.

Don't get greedy for the rest of 98. DVD picks up steam this Xmas season, but the critical year is 1999: it will be DVD's true breakthrough year in consumer players and PCs--and when we will begin to see what market share CUBE can stake out in this area. Right now, announced design wins, while nice, have about the same level of commitment as a Hollywood marriage, and OEMs like Toshiba may still be "sleeping around" (so to speak <g>). So: CUBE holds at current levels through the end of the year (a push to 30 if news is decidedly positive). Next year, barring global market deterioration, CUBE doubles in value thanks to DVD hype, triples if it truly shows it is the leader of the pack (not just in terms of technology, but in terms of market share and revenue). David N. keeps saying he'll wait until 2000--I'm with him.

Of course CUBE is more than a chip company; Divi will provide solid revenue growth but won't be glam enough to drive Wall Street into a frenzy--for a few years yet, in any case.

Roller coaster? Well, naturally!

Susan--what do YOU think?
