Tim,
Nice consolidation last week at 15-16... a bit frustrating though with so many strong smallcaps up 50-70% from summer lows... I see a technical pattern rather clearly... it is a reversal pattern, one small teacup within a larger teacup... first teacup was from 15 to 11, flatten, then 11 back to 15... been there, done that... next comes the healthy move retracing the 19 to 15 drop

if Fed eases then I think we move upward... economy is not as flat as earlier thought, but gonna be slower next year... Fed had been asleep at the wheel all spring and summer long, now hurriedly easing... with zero inflation threat, layoffs indicating looser labor picture, I say those crusty old MrMagoos on the Board will ease rates

here is a bold claim -- in July two signif events happened... Greenspan warned of big inflation pressure with wage rises... they missed the yearlong deflation whirlwind... Treasury Rubin began supporting the JYen... he saw the rising US$ as threat, which I agree... in the next two months we got a 20% stock correction on Dow, and 30% on Nasdaq, and worse with many smallcaps... Greenspan and Rubin caused the stock correction... Rubin had cause, while Greenspan's crusty jerks on Fed Board did not

next target 18-19 on BCOM... last time volume shrunk to nil on consolidation selloff phase, we moved up nicely in the next several trading days

does anyone have a pulse out there?
