Elwood: For a slush Harvey sure is perspicacious!

My one big worry about the CPQ share price is a big takeover of a networker. I know the opposing argument - that CPQ is developing networking capabilities internally, as an adjunct to its architecture, but that $50 billion revenues target for AD2000, and the market prospects (if not the reality) and cheap price of some of the networkers, probably causes EP to dribble at the mouth.

I dread getting into the networking morass again - after too long in BAY and months trying to understand COMS. I like LU, mainly because the CEO is so outstanding but the only buy-out involving LU would make CPQ the target. (I hope LU will buy a CRUS fab plant this coming week or even buy-out CRUS).

Cannot understand why the Texas madam and Helpinout don't come over here. Maybe they like conversing in an asylum. I always feel I am slumming when I go over there. Picking through the city garbage dump looking for diamonds while being attacked by circling seagulls.
