When you've spent 3 sorrid, squalid, solitary years of your life (okay, maybe more like 3 weeks off and on...and most of it written on the "throne" discovering that those warnings about Olestra and intestinal discomfort really are true) writing a theatrical masterpiece, and you go to pitch it to a producer and after all you've done, after all the truth about the human condition you've managed to illuminate, he focuses on one extremely minor point... "No one is going to stage a production which ends with the entire theatre collapsing on the audience, cast, and crew."
