Polarbear, my brokerage and I assume most if not all, allow the purchase of securities without regard to cash in the account. For example I could purchase shares of RANYD equal to the value of my portfolio without cash in the account. The only requirement would be for it to be in the account within three business days to settle the transaction. Or they would have the option to cancel the transaction or sell as many of my holdings as necessary to cover the transaction.
