On Iraq:

IMHO

If someone could repost one of Stratfor's pieces on this it would be great. They said that Sadam is in control here...he can start and then stop a crisis there whenever he wants. Well this is evident now...

Excuse me but I don't buy this inspection crap to eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. Ask yourself how many years ago did this war end? Sanctions are still imposed because the inspections just keep going and going (like the Energizer bunny...). Due to the nature of this subject inspections will NEVER certify that the weapons of mass destrutions are eliminated....does that mean that the sanctions will never be lifted? I think the Iraqi people have been hurt all these years with no sign of letup. The Iraqis have done a lot to accomodate the inspectors only to find out that they ask for more at the end to keep the status quo going...

Don't get me wrong, I do not like Sadam. But I believe it is time we give the Iraqi people a break after so many years since the war ended.

The real reason is oil...Too much of it if sanctions get lifted...

IMHO
