I e-mailed Jill a long time ago about something else and casually mentioned that everyone is saying SI needs a buyer. I suggested that Excite would be smart to buy SI, since Yahoo had a new stock forum. Jill's opinion was that there wasn't as much interest out there as I might think. A week later came the GNET announcement.
