my investigations into potential competitors, which is substantial but not exhaustive, uncovers no challengers of consequence. On the other hand , I have only looked into 12 of the Bellcore liscencees and hence my posts of a week or two past asking about the two european and two Japanese liscencees whom Bellcore would not reveal to me. My gut tells me Valence has got it in the bag, but who can say for sure. It is a tricky world.

you'd be surprised what a simple honest inquiry can do from a direct thoughtful person to get significant information. I have stumbled into a few such conversations with engineers of other liscenees. I won't mention them now since they are ongoing. But I am only one person and there are only 36hours in the day unfortunately.
