Optim, if you are around I have a Pinnacle question.

To re-cap, I devoted the entire weekend to Profit only to be stymied by Pinnacle. They did not send me a password. So I tried their BBS and found their software does not like my com-port, nor does it work when I try their manual's suggested fix.

Anyway, while re-configuring the pinnup.ini file I stumbled on the password encoded in the .ini file. This has been quite a chore. I won't have a block of time for this for next two weeks, however and I'd like to get the data collection finished so I can work on it in my spare time.

As it turns out, the password in the file allowed me internet access so here's the question. Bob is evidently having his fair share of problems with this as well, it appears.

Looking at the clc files, for example, am I to presume I have to download each of them one at a time? Where do they get stored, the Pinnacle folder? There is nothing on internet use in the manual. Finally, and this is one that I feared, it appears the data bases they sent me ends on different dates going back to October. Yet this clc, for example, does not start until November 9. Am I going to have a gap here?

I remember you thought the service was very good so I hope these are minor issues. Their failure to provide a password and their limited "how-to" materials worry me, however.

Frankly, it seems I am putting more time in than I should. The Reuters data, although I have concerns about it, it certainly easier to work with.
