Questions from newbie (former lurker) and comments on CTII I have been using Ameritrade. I have been satisfied with their market orders. The only problem I have had (other than relatively frequent online system outages) is the time it takes to change orders. I frequently change my orders as I see things change in the market. It often takes 15 to 20 minutes for those changes to be reflected on the web site. Is this the case with other on-line brokers?
As for CTII, I missed GERN and bought CTII instead, and did OK (buy avg 1.8, sell 2.5). They have a book value of about 1.5, and some inside buying. I think they will spike again in the next month or so, and they will probably do quite well, so, to those who bought "prematurely", and are looking at losses, I suspect you will be whole fairly soon. I don't hold them currently, but may well buy some more soon. I did renew my online subscription to Science and Nature in the hopes of being able to identify the next "GERN story" before it becomes widely known.
I am an newbie who has done well in the last 5 weeks, but hope to do better. My big mistake was buying ENMD and THNK on Thurs, holding over night, and not dumping on the open Fri. Live an learn. I suspect I will be whole on ENMD soon. I suspect I will eventually have to dump THNK at a loss. I am looking for any suggestions on "level 2" and software and subscriptions, and screening/TA techniques. I currently have Supercharts, Interquote, and IQchart.
Thanks for any help, suggestion, rebukes, etc.
