Hey, Fred -- how's this for a scenario -- harkening back to the days when FAMH was pursuing ATXI...

Ira Monas initiated the buying. Then he puts out a press release later this week, saying how concerned he is about building value for the FAMH shareholders... and asking for a seat on the board.

Arif settles for giving poor Ira a job, provided he returns the shares given to him earlier, which are relatively a small part of the equation, but they get to say they are retiring shares (hey, Arif certainly wants the stock higher, and doesn't care how).

Of course, the hype machine would crank up once again... but let's face it, how many stockholders would complain if Ira got it ten cents higher?

Makes as much sense as any other theory, and it does have a historical precedent.

Personally I think people are overrating the stock going up a couple cents. It went up a little and buyers rushed in. No great mystery.

Who is in charge of the next buyout rumor?
