Despite the Hurrahs from the Iomaniacs on this board, a 250MB Zip brings Iomega no closer to replacing the floppy drive. Iomega's market strategy now seems to be cloudy at best, and may be actually in outright internal confusion.

Also, notice that no claims as to Zip250's specs were made. Part of Sony HiFD's appeal is its very fast data speeds. You can run full-motion MPEG video right off a HiFD disc. You can't do that with Zip. HiFD is also floppy compatible, and Zip250 is not.

Nothing has changed here. Malibu Stacy just has a new hat.
