QP2: oh boy, now you have opened a can of worms. I love QP2 It is a combo data provider, scanning program, charting program. I still use MS for my hard core charting work but for simple browsing of bar charts QP2 is better as its speed is faster and it has a much easier way of moving from one chart to the next. No annoying searching for stocks cuz you can't remember which folder they are in or you are not sure you don't have them in your database. 18.95 does cover both equities and indexes. download of the every stock (NYSE, NASDAQ AND AMEX) and all indexes takes about 10 minutes from start to finish. If you want to add mutual funds its like 2 or 3 bucks a month. There is also a virtual form of data from QP2 which MS can read. NO MORE MS FOLDERS!!!!!!!! Everything will be organized by your choice of options. SIC code, IRL groups.... The scanning capabilities of QP2 blow me away. I am not a good scan writer so thank heavens for the QP thread on SI. There are some brilliant writers over there and they are always willing to take the challenge of a new scan. Brooke wrote a scan that finds C&H formations. YEP, Cup and Handle scan. Can also throw FA into your scans cuz you get it all with QP2. I am telling you it is THE one provider you need. The only one. Soon to come, intraday downloads, new indicators (including stochrsi), faster scans... they are great people and work with the SI community to develop there software to meet the needs and desires of the customers.
