JBE, welcome back; Since we are talking about oil drillers that are "cash rich" I would like to do a comparison between two companies that have essentially the same market cap. SII market Cap $1631. 25--------ESV Market Cap $1769.97 P/E 18 -------------------------P/E 6 EPS 1.81 ----------------------EPS $2.18 5 year growth 10.06% ----------- 5 year growth 67.53% Debt Eq. 1.24 ------------------ Debt Eq. 0.49 Book Val $6.56------------------ Book Val $8.75 Cash Assets $34 million--------- Cash Assets 293.6 million Which company would you buy given the choice? Now for the really big surprise! SII price per share--------------------- $33 1/2 (drumroll....) ESV price per share------------------ $12 9/16 ! I happen to own Ensco and I will recommend it over Schlumberger based on cash assets and fundamentals. Besides, its almost 1/3 the price of ole SII. Regards, Santiago
