Ish, Been using the same fly rod for twenty odd years, a cheap glass rod .I under stand they don't make glass rods anymore but there is a small cult of us that just love'm. Trout the size you speak of are unknown to me since most of my fishing is done in small streams.I gotta go being dragged out of the house.Before I go let me recommend a book you might like since you fish the Michigan area."Trout Madness".I can't remember the author's name but I believe he also wrote "Anatomy of a murder".It's a collection of short stories about fishing the streams and lakes of the upper peninsular.Try it you'll like it. pez
