Vic,

I run Neurostock on a dual Pentium II 233 under Windows NT 4/SP4 with 192 megs of physical RAM. I usualy fire up 2 to 4 copies and let them train for extended periods. What I have noticed is that when I start training my system is using about 62 megs. After running 4 copies of Neuro for a little over 36 hours, I am up to 147 megs.

Now the funny thing is if I shut down the 4 copies of Neurostock, I am still using over 116 megs of RAM. The only way to reclaim this is to reboot the system. I have become accustomed to rebooting the system everytime I notice disk activity increasing. If I check PerfMon I will usually find that the system is being forced to page to disk which degrades performance significantly. So I shut down, restart and load everything up again.

It's not that bad, but it is a little annoying. I have not experienced NeuroStock crashing, however, with the exception of a bug in the genetic portion of the program. If you select the genetic option and train for less than a few minutes (pressing the stop button) Neurostock crashes and I am present with a WinNT Quincy screen. By restarting Neuro I can load the file and make any changes I would like.

Just thought I would throw in my perspective from the NT side in case there are any lurkers out there who may be reading this.
