A specter is haunting the music business: the prospect of listeners getting the music they want directly from the Internet, free of charge. Right now, all it takes to make a recording executive nervous is the mention of MP3... Very true. Listening right now to a zip disk full of top 40 songs I downloaded for free. It's like being able to program your own radio station. I'm sure this will be unavailable at some point...but for now, turn your ftp search software loose and enjoy the era of FREE music.
