Can you estimate if ITWO's backlog is safe enough from pushouts so that Y2K won't have a tremendous negative impact on revenue in 2H99?

Aha!, is that all you want to know? No problemo! <j/k>.

Actually, this y2k resource grab away from enterprise software has been documented AD NAUSEM by gartner etc. Most reports I have seen believe that 2nd half 1999 will result in complete gridlock for new sales and RFPs. I agree with this... but feel that shortly after the millenium all will be wide open again. As long as the CFO knows how to manage the numbers you should be ok. Manugistics has the junior CFO that can't seem to deal with the inevitable peaks and valleys in mfg software. I2 historically has had large implementations so they know how to manage the disparity in the numbers. I wouldnt worry about it.

I believe this "y2k" buzzword was actually used as an excuse by the traditional ERP vendors to mask the saturation they first began seeing this summer. The real impact of y2k on I2 will be fairly minimal, imo. Companies that want SCM many times dont even have a legacy system - Im talking about the internet retailers etc.
