that's probably a pretty gloomy view, especially since I got a triple on Dell in '98. My gut feel is that a price between 80 and 100 is more realistic, but I think it could be pretty flat for a while in the first half of '99, especially if the EPS growth slows even a little. Long term that will probably be good for the stock but short term it might be a little painful.

I would personally be cautious about a position that could not withstand a 10-15% pullback that lasted for a while. I don't buy on margin but if I did I would be sure to leave an adequate cushion to cover that kind of situation. Here again, there are others on this thread who know a lot more about how to manage that stuff than I do.
