I'm not saying CMTO's modems aren't being sold, it's simply a matter of their not being sold retail. I think it's quite unusual for cable modems to be sold any way other than through the cable company that provides service, so perhaps CompUSA is using Anchorage as a test site.

Broadcom makes chips and Terayon is a niche player doing CDMA modems. According to Peter Fenner at the recent AEA conference, Terayon is number four.

As for the press release on the DOCSIS standard, CMTO had an earlier release:
