The CompUSA in Anchorage generated lots of interest tempered by the $399 purchase price + the mandatory $50 provisioning fee (to feed your account number into the PROM) followed up by a monthly $69.95 usage fee from GCI (local cable) for guaranteed 256/56 download / upload speed. This is a bit pricy as local 56K ISP's are $19.95 unlimited use.

Anchorage was initially setup for 1000 users. Mine gets installed Tuesday, will let you know how it works. You can feed it into a 10base-T hub and run 8 simultaneous computers off each box, bandwidth on demand, each with a dynamic IP address. Add $10 per month per user for static addressing.

Worth it ? Sure !
