There could be the typical short-term bounce after the first plunge

I agree with you. I think this time around the decline will be slower than in the last two times. We'll see an area of congestion or slow decline as in May and not the fast collapse off the last two peaks. On my chart this is because we are already approaching the lower 13 day Bollinger Band as in May, while in the last two declines there was a lot further to fall before reaching that point. We're also in roughly the same area as the peak bounce back over the 13 dma in the last fall. After that my outlook is for a significant further decline as this could have been the fourth peak in a symmetrical broadening formation.
