ISYS/AMT.. two chances that were ignored... Watch list was late..server down... but I finished both of them before the opening bell but not after losing 1 1/2 hours of work when the server went down and the file just disappeared off the screen. What are the odds of that happening and especially when you have both a watch list and newsletter to edit, prepare and post?

story number 2: ISYS came out way in first and second place of on a couple of scans last night very late after midnight, but I weeded it solely because of its tiny volume..fact that it reached a 52 Week high and a fear it that strong trend might fizzle. Although these scans were made solely to find these stocks.. I did not plug a value in volume at all.

Today the volume was good enough to get in.. the second thing that happened was that as I was preparing the watch list I looked at my telescan autosearch which automatically downloads news stories on the stocks in my watch list.

I had AMT in that same list. It was only there with a group of others that were going to report today, I liked the sector I liked the fact that it had 7 buys. IF you remember this was part of a test to find stocks that were unknown that might have good news. I kept them both in the database but did not include either one on the watch list.

8:30 I was looking at the database in Telescan and ran an 'autorun' on these stocks. The auto runs runs quick charts with any amount of indicators you specify on a template beforehand and noticed news came out on AMT.. it was merging this morning with some company. I just assumed it would gap up out of play. Anyhow by then I was working to out that list by open. At 9:35, I already saw what I missed... by 10:30 it had also reported strong earnings ironic the report on earnings came out AFTER the merger (at least on my report)..Had it been reversed I would have definitely noticed and put it back on the watch list same way I posted LOW beating earnings and GNET beating the night before.. .. so there you have two companies,

Now both ISYS and AMT are up 17% and both new in my database... technically the experiment worked.. but the guinea pig died anyhow.
