(From Banco Brazil article)
Using the Cisco IGX series, large enterprises such as Banco do Brasil can consolidate multiple types of traffic over a reliable multiservice backbone to reduce costs and improve application performance. The bank is also using Cisco Catalyst 5500 series LAN switches, providing integration for multiple protocols, including ATM, QLLC, RFC 1490 and BSC-3. Cisco routers are installed in the bank's branches to route transactions and SNA traffic.

Eric:
Why didn't Banco do Brazil implement their network using FORE's ATM switches since they obviously perform way better than CSCO's, not to mention that they will put CSCO out of the ATM business all together?!? And since Cisco's LAN switches are so expensive, why didn't they choose a new start-up's? And why Cisco routers when they can use cool terabit and cheaper routers from start-ups like Packet Engines or Avici? Geez, this bank obviously doensn't have it all together ;o)

(please note the sarcasm :o)
