Short answer, no.<g> I used it once, but unless you're trying to overclock, I don't see the usefulness.

Also I don't think you have to buy one, Peter. There is a utility on the CD that comes with the board called Asus PC Probe, I think. As I recall, it monitors CPU temperature. It can also monitor the RPMs of the fans you hook up inside the case, if I'm not mistaken. I recall it used about 4 MB of memory to run, so give it a try if you aren't short of RAM. Let me know how it goes.
