LCOS has been a great performer, breaking out to new highs and surging today. I think it is now over-bought, may try to move back toward 63 but should be topped out. This should be a case of "buy on the rumor, sell on the news" prior to the earnings release and cc. I like Lycos more than most other Internet plays but it has been bid too far into the ozone not to pull back.

I can't tell how Amazon's price will react to good news from LCOS. On one hand good results will increase the awareness that some companies are doing things right and that th eInternet is growing rapidly. On the other hand, this may provide more awareness that the key Internet portals are successfully maneuvering to provide on-line shopping and "sticky" features that compete for e-tail dollars. My guess is that AMZN will move again to 128-130 by tomorrow before further pull-back.
