Roger, on the Avco thread there is a nasty story about E-Trade. Dale Baker shorted AVCO days ago and was able to cover into the $3.50 suckers open today. What did E-Trade. They declared the stock not marginable and not shortable afterwards, namely not before today and annulled /reversed the short trade a n d the anyway highly profitable buy - in retrospect. Message 6439262 and the corresponding responses. Something like that happened to me on Datek to, but with a much faster reaction of Datek, which is understandable so far - within hours on NETG in July. But E-Crap? Such a thing, I think, comes very close to fraud. C.
