Well you seem to be confusing cable modems and ADSL? To the best of my knowledge, there is no cable modem service available in San Francisco, though it could be available in outlying suburbs. (I believe it is due to older technology in SF, which still needs to be upgraded). Meanwhile in areas where @Home is avaialable, I think the rates are $40-$50 a month. ADSL on the other hand starts around $90 for 384K access and goes up with speed. ADSL is available in SF though.
