I talked with the company and it sure sounds
like the US listing is going ahead as planned.
They are already listed on the Pink Sheets and
there are already market makers filing forms
for the Piggyback Excemption to trade on the
OTCBB so it seems very clear they are going to
be trading, just a matter at what level. My
sources say they will be immediately set at 15
minute delayed quotes. This is fine for investors
getting quotes and for the market makers, they
get real-time quotes in their offices, talking
with a couple of market makers in the US, they
say that this level of quote is fine for them.
They can now bring in US buying. Also remember
that with electronic trading systems, the US
and Canadian market makers can trade within
seconds on any cross listed exchange, so
whether the volume is in the US or Canada, it
doesn't really matter. They will go to the
cheapest to buy and sell at the most expensive,
arbitrage is the name of the game here. As
more market makers get signed up by Talbot on
his trip to the US over the next two weeks,
there will be more activity in buying and sell
Medical. Don't be fooled by the volume here,
most are flipping this play as they have done
many times over the last months, it should be
interesting to see if there are any shorts in this
play, there was a lot of volume on Friday, with
heavy buys at the offer, if the market makers
were shorting, they might be in for a surprise
on Monday, they may have to turn on the buy
side to cover. |
