Look for arbitrage deals between eBay and Yahoo - act as middleman. Example, I bought an HP 4c flatbed scanner for $111 today on eBay and I noticed that the same thing is going for 160-170 on Yahoo. OK, you asked for dumb ideas. It does seem like the auction sites are a pretty easy way to sell something. -jsc
