I also suspect that I will be acquiring Partition Magic sometime (it also serves as a boot manager, correct?)

The included bootmanager is an optional install. It is an IBM boot manager. I have had good luck with the bios boot selection and do not plan on installing a BM in the near future. I think it is best to go with only one boot selection scenario.

I do not worry about the drive letter sequences. I boot mostly to the primary drive and only use the secondary installations for recovery and experimentation. Sometimes I have to help out a program that can not find something..

I seem to be drifting toward a Jaz2 ... but I believe they are SCSI only. Hmmm. Well, talked myself out of it, again!

Logic takes me to the JAZ2 too. What is the SCSI issue? I can see IDE harddrives and primary IDE CDROM for cost and compatibility issues. SCSI for other peripherals is the way to go IMO.
