good thoughts.. I think you do have to be aggressive in getting your voice heard... I'm not sure absolutely what the goal would be of getting media exposure... would that force the SEC or NASDR to push harder against MTEI and those that benefit/profited from the scam??

Personally, if this is what you feel is best... then you might try
CNNfn... they are known for being very hard on the bulletin board stocks and already quite skeptical.. this story might give them a reason to once again try and deter people from investing here..

CNNfn is CNN financial network and is directly a part of CNN... so that's about as big as it gets...

Raven, I've already PMd and emailed you just about all I know to help. You're probably just now getting it... if there's anything else I can do to help please dont hesitate to let me know. I for one like many others here brought in friends/coworkers into this stock and some that I work with held on even after I said that I thought Joe Gort and the way the PRs were looking seemed like scams, they believed in the alleged huge land assets and figured their stock to be worth at least something. Everyday I'm reminded that I got suckered into this one when I see their faces... things aren't the same... I never talked directly to the company... nor emailed with them or anything... I relied upon people that posted here on the thread and that's it... which I've learned the hard way is NOT EVEN CLOSE TO ENOUGH .... other people whom I was close to that posted here had more direct communications with the PR people, the company and others... so they'll have to deal with their own issues... I can only speak for myself and what I knew.... anything good or bad I posted when I became aware of it... although the negative stuff I posted was NOT received well at all... I bought shares the day that crappy PR came out if you go back and see the posts.. I was one of the only ones buying that day at $1.10 or so I think it was... then the stock crashed... and my hopes for paying off all my debt (which I could have done if I'd sold right up until that morning) were shot.
I've been in debt ever since. But I personally take responsibility as I understood those risks when investing.. especially in BBs...

YES the company scammed people... YES the PR people did too.. YES the newsletters (including the one that was formerly mine) also played a part in adding to the fire... were the newsletters at fault?? were they sinister?? I don't think so... speaking for myself.. I relied on what info was available to everyone and didn't hold back anything.
Does that make the situation better?? certainly not... Personally I hope the SEC takes care of anyone that had wrongdoing... but I don't know what the benefit for all of us will be.. this is one I've just tried to write off and live and learn from... hard as it was..

Maybe some exposure would move the industry to BETTER regulating this bulletin board market and also the way Market Makers trade these pennies too... I've already heard that it won't be long now.. 18months or so before ALL bulletin board companies will be REQUIRED to be fully reporting... YEAH for that!

I wonder if some of this will fall on deaf ears, but truly I'm sorry for anyway that I added to the losses incurred here. I wish I'd have seen things more clearly. Would that have made a difference or deterred the company from scamming investors? I doubt it. But certainly, like many of you here that were very excited and exuberant to see this "company worth over $4.00 book value as stated in the PRs in writing" .. I too wish I'd have passed this one up.

I admire you for what you are doing and I hope things work out.. again, you have my email and know how to reach me if I can be of help.
take care!

jim
