Hi Clint, I haven't done much lately. I had a bad Oct, though I made some of it back lately. I'm just trying to end the year near where I was at my peak in July. Unfortunately I don't see too many great opportunities right here. All the low hanging fruit has been picked, it seems to me. The stuff that is still cheap is probably cheap for a good reason. It seems as if the market wants to end the year above 9300, probably between 9500 and 10K. But with earnings season over I don't see a lot more stimulus for the market, but maybe it doesn't need much reason with the mood it is in these days.
I proved by my mistakes that I am much much better going long than short. I think it's pretty tough making any real money going short or buying puts. All the constellations have to line up just right. I still do have some puts on hsy, which ws hates at this point. For once, I hope these analysts know what they are talking about it. Incidentally, what's your opinion on dell these days? How low do you think it will go? How long before dell makes a new high? Dell and msft are the two most interesting stocks these days. All the other tech leaders are just too overpriced for me.
