>>A few observations from the news releases...<<

Michael -

I have a couple of observations, too. After a long, busy day at work, I logged in expecting to see announcements that USB Zip and Clik! had shipped.

One out of two is not good enough, in my book. Clik! is just taking too damned long.

Of course, I could interpret this news the way Elaine would if it were Sony or Castlewood delaying the introduction of a product. "They are doing everything they can to get it right before it ships because they care about their customers." And that may be the truth in this instance. I'm sure that if it were at all possible they would have shipped this thing now. This seems to have been a last-minute delay.

I haven't seen Elaine's reaction yet, but I'm sure I don't need to see it to know what it is. No surprises even remotely possible there.

USB Zip shipping, compatible with both PC and Mac. That's good.

The Zip music player, discussed on this very thread just yesterday, is looking like an actual possibility, based on the Liquid Audio news. That's good.

One of the press releases actually mentions "20 million Zip users."

PS: Elaine, notice that I have actually made a negative comment about Iomega. I can do that because, unlike you, I develop my opinions AFTER I see the news, not before. Just FYI, that's how thinking is supposed to be done.
