Bosco and all,

Half your luck, I wish I was in the SF Bay area - one of my favorite destinations in the US. (I guess you were visiting Nortel/Bay?)

I found a good, easy to read primer on Chinese cultural history the other day, with lots of maps and pictures. It is simply titled "CHINA" by Caroline Blunden and Mark Elvin, published by Stonehenge press, and part of a series called "The Cultural Atlas of the World". Certainly easier reading than most of the many text-only books on China that I have read. I may try and find some of the other books in the series.

Best regards,
Steve
