Interesting information David, but if you would have continued to research at that same site you could have also added the following info .....

More than half the volume from Friday was buying and selling by Cannacord. At the end of the day the result of all their trading was a net buy of 193,500 shares at an average of $0.375. However, their net position from 10/01/96 thru to 01/09/97 was a total of 397,400 shares short at an average of $0.433.

This would seem to indicate today's trading may have been nothing more than profit taking on the part of Cannacord (and or their clients). Then again, of course, they could know something and be covering their shorts as a precaution. I am not offering opinions here, just trying to complete the picture given by your info. Draw your own conclusions.
