i have several stories to tell about etrade. let me begin with the most recent one. this past friday,13 nov at about 11:40 a.m, i placed an order to short INFO at 7.once i placed my order,it briefly traded below 7 and ramped up to about 7 1/4.then it began falling and fell all the way to about 5 5/8. i got no confirmation of a trade execution. so i called etrade and asked them to do a trade inquiry. after some time,INFO reversed and came back up to 7 and then my order was executed.but, it stayed stubbornly around 7 .so i covered my short at about break even by 2:30 p.m. i would like to get feedback from people. if you have had similar experiences,what might have happened to my order etc. it seems like there is a lot of manipulation by the brokers apart from the mm's. and as per my trading enquiry,i am still waiting for etrade's call.
